Snacks...Yes, Do Have Them

To be perfectly honest, even though all the nutrition experts say that breakfast is the most important meal of the day and should not be missed, it is just impossible for me to eat before 10:30 in the morning. Decaffeinated Earl Gray tea with a splash of fat-free half-and-half hits the spot for me. What I do whole-heartedly embrace is eating three (or in my case two) low-fat, portion-controlled meals to keep my weight in check. But, like many of you, there are often a few times during the day when I am at my desk working and am struck by sudden pangs of hunger. more

Forgiving Others…The Gift You Give to Yourself

At one time or another, we have all been hurt by the words or actions of another person. Perhaps it was a friend who didn’t have your back, or a relative who disapproved of your spouse or significant other, or maybe it was a colleague who sabotaged a project. These are just a few of the many ways people get wounded by others. What you are left with are lingering feelings of anger, resentment, or bitterness. Conscious Choice...It's Up to You

My morning routine look something like this: At about 5:50 a.m. my dog, Cookie, steps onto my chest, stares into my face, then licks me vigorously until I get up.
